Local Priorities
1 – Drugs
2 – Acquisitive Crime Patrols
3 – Vehicle-related Anti-Social Behaviour
Issued: 23 Mar 2026
Status Update
1 – Drugs Increased high visibility and plain clothes patrols to be conducted in areas identified to be associated with drug abuse in order to detect and disrupt criminal activity. Deliver prevention advice, including education establishment inputs, to ensure the younger generation are aware of the risk of drugs.
2 – Acquisitive Crime Patrols Continuation of plain clothes, unsociable hours patrols to target hot spots; following intelligence and proactively seeking priority offenders. Stop searches of individuals (where grounds apply) will be conducted, and crime prevention advice and referrals to the Safer Homes scheme will be available at community engagements.
3 – Vehicle-related Anti-Social Behaviour We will be proactively targeting motor vehicles who engage in anti-social behaviour and speeding offences. Pro-active work will include speed watch in key locations identified for speeding, and patrols where the use of off-road bikes are causing anti-social behaviour. The illegal use of electric bikes and e-scooters will be targeted, as they are frequently used for illegal activity, including riders engaging in reckless behaviour. Inputs at local education premises by our Youth Engagement Team will ensure that young people are educated on the dangers of the illegal vehicles.
